How it works
Home testing
A simple test to measure your mood
Step 1
Start your test
You begin with a short guided introduction. Then you place a small swab of lightly sweet liquid on your tongue. There's nothing to analyse. You simply notice: can I taste sweetness or not?
Step 2
Report your response
Small adjustments in sweetness levels lead to a point where it's hard to detect any difference. The process takes around ten minutes. It's straightforward and can be done in the comfort of your own home.
Step 3
Reflect with insights
Your taste responses generate a taste score. We can therefore detect a level of depression - rooted in the science of taste and mood. This objective score guides appropriate action and compliments conventional diagnosis and treatment.
The theory behind the test
Stress and low mood don't always show up as clear thoughts
Sometimes they show up in the body first. Changes in sleep, energy, focus, sensitivity. Ranvier helps you notice those shifts earlier, gently and without judgement.
Feeling "off" without knowing why
Fatigue
Overwhelm
Emotional numbness
